Comics in one form or another, have been a part of my practice my entire life. Whether informing the decisions I make when installing paintings, the images I choose to paint or the way I weave narrative throughout my work, comics have always been a central influence. Recently however my practice has come full circle and now the art of making comics has become a pillar in the studio. Currently in comics I’m interested in learning how to tell the most engaging story I can. By utilizing the medium and language of comics I’m looking to explore ways of bringing my ideas from my paintings into a more direct narrative format.
